Michelle Wu Receives QinetiQ Endeavour Industry Sponsored Award

Michelle Wu's work has received the QinetiQ Endeavour Industry Sponsored Award for work on techniques to charecterise perivascular spaces in neuroimaging.

Congratulations to Michelle Wu – Winner of the QinetiQ Endeavour Industry Sponsored Award.

We are delighted to share that Michelle Wu has received the QinetiQ Endeavour Industry Sponsored Award at the 2025 Endeavour Exhibition hosted by the University of Melbourne.

Her award-winning capstone project, "Developing Advanced Imaging and Analytical Methods for Perivascular Spaces in the Human Brain," was completed as part of the Master of Biomedical Engineering program. The research was conducted at the Melbourne Brain Centre Imaging Unit (MBCIU), under the supervision of Professor Leigh Johnston and Dr. Warda Syeda.

Michelle’s work focused on advancing neuroimaging techniques to better characterise perivascular spaces—fluid-filled compartments crucial to brain health and implicated in a range of neurological disorders. Her project was recognised for its technical sophistication, innovation, and translational potential.
