National Imaging Facility granted $28m NCRIS funding to strengthen Australia’s advanced imaging network and bolster health research.
The National Imaging Foundation (NIF) has been recently granted $28m of funding under the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS). Along with previous rounds of funding this brings the total funding for NIF to $46m thus securing operations until 2027.
NIF's national network of advanced imaging platforms (which incorporates the MBCIU as a node) work to give research and industry access to cutting-edge scientific instruments and the specialist knowledge required to utilise them. NIF engages with a diverse range of industries including healthcare, agriculture, and collections.
