Recent Publication: Inter-scanner Aβ-PET harmonization using barrel phantom spatial resolution matching

Aβ-PET studies conducted across multiple sites can have variability in measurements due to differences between PET scanner technology and reconstruction methods.

In this study MBCIU members Gihan P. Ruwanpathirana, Robert C. Williams, Leigh A. Johnston, and Catherine E. Davey, propose an Aβ-PET harmonisation method of matching spatial resolution across PET scanners.  This approach was validated with paired subject data from multiple PET scanners showing the feasibility of using different PET scanners in multi-centre trials or for upgrading scanners during longitudinal studies.
