Research Overview
Lead: Professor Mathis Grossmann Led by Professor Mathis Grossmann at Austin Health, the Reproductive Steroids Research Group investigates how reproductive hormones influence health and disease. We conduct clinical and molecular studies in men with low testosterone, chronic disease, hypogonadism, or prostate cancer, as well as in women with breast cancer receiving aromatase inhibitors. Our work aims to clarify the role of hormones in musculoskeletal health and glucose metabolism, ultimately guiding better treatment strategies for patients.
