Achuthan Laboratory

Research Overview

Achuthan Laboratory Lead: Associate Professor Adrian Achuthan

The Achuthan Laboratory, led by Associate Professor Adrian Achuthan at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, investigates the pathogenic mechanisms of cytokines in chronic inflammatory diseases, particularly rheumatoid arthritis. By integrating in vitro systems, preclinical disease models, and patient-derived samples, we aim to uncover key drivers of inflammation and identify novel therapeutic targets. Our research has led to several publications in leading journals, contributing to advances in the development of new strategies to manage inflammation and improve patient outcomes.
