2025 Weary Dunlop Grant Winner: Alfred Lo

Congratulations to Alfred Lo, who’s been awarded a 2025 Weary Dunlop grant. The Dunlop Foundation offers grants in all areas of basic and applied medical research, with a focus on illnesses of veterans and their families.

Alfred received the grant for his research project: Trauma and Functional Neurological Disorder. Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) is a disabling mental health condition prevalent in veterans. Its cause, however, remains unclear. Utilizing advanced neuroimaging techniques, this project aims to examine how trauma may contribute to FND. Ultimately, this will inform precise assessment and treatment for people with FND, including veterans.

Alfred will use his grant to support his research project and related expenses.
