2024 Graham Burrows Travelling Scholarship Winner: James Agathos

We are thrilled to announce James Agathos as the recipient of the 2024 Graham Burrows Travelling Scholarship.

This prestigious award, named in honour of the late Professor Graham Burrows AO, recognises outstanding PhD students in the Department of Psychiatry at The University of Melbourne.

Professor Graham Burrows was a distinguished academic psychiatrist, who was a mentor to many. His legacy lives on through this scholarship, which supports aspiring scholars like James in their pursuit of excellence.

James Agathos has been granted $5,000 to be utilised in the calendar year 2024. His dedication to advancing psychiatric research and practice aligns perfectly with the spirit of this scholarship. The scholarship is supported by The International Society for the Investigation of Stress and Dr. Barbara Burrows. We eagerly anticipate James's contributions to the field and look forward to his summary report and presentation upon his return from his overseas placement.
