New Deputy HoD for Psychiatry

In June, Professor Ben Harrison was announced as the new Deputy Head of Psychiatry. Ben is known to many as a stellar researcher, based at the Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Centre. He has an exceptional track record, publishing at a high level, and with a very good success rate in obtaining grants, mostly from the NHMRC. Alongside his own research, Ben has shown a real commitment to mentoring early career researchers.

In taking on the Deputy role, Ben will assume responsibility for steering the Department’s research strategy, including chairing the Research Committee.
