HAZMAT and Personal Protective Equipment Workshop

This one-day workshop is a component of an Advanced Toxicology and Terrorism subject, designed for health sector and clinical personnel interested in toxicology principles and the exposures commonly associated with acts of terror and mass casualty incidents.

A small number of places are available to take part in the end-of-subject workshop. No prior study is required to take part in this event.

The workshop will focus on Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) protection and the utilization of Level C Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Experienced trainers from Ambulance Victoria and faculty members from the University of Melbourne's Department of Critical Care will lead the workshop. The event's agenda includes a blend of presentations and hands-on activities, encompassing practice sessions for donning, doffing, and working while wearing Level-C PPE.

Time: 9am-4pm

Cost: $1,500 (NB: the cost covers the cleaning fee for the suits. Morning tea and lunch included)
