Welcome to the Department of Medical Education
The Department was established in 2015 to continue the curriculum development success of the former Medical Education Unit (MEU) but with a broader focus on all aspects of Medical Education scholarship. With a central base at Parkville and academic activity at all of the Clinical Schools, we are working towards becoming a centre of excellence in the scholarly discipline of Medical Education.
While our primary focus remains on the delivery and continued improvement of the Doctor of Medicine course, our growing research agenda both draws and feeds back into this major program. We welcome research higher degree students and our postgraduate courses in clinical teaching, research and leadership provide plenty of opportunities to develop lifelong skills in these vital areas.
On behalf of the staff of the Department of Medical Education, I hope you’ll find information on our website relevant to how we can collaborate and work with you at every stage of your career.
