Since the first cohort of Melbourne MD students graduated in 2014, there have been rapid developments in clinical research, artificial intelligence, and communication technologies. These developments inform and shape medical education as do the broader societal developments and challenges in which healthcare is delivered.

Professor John Prins, The Head of the Melbourne Medical School, will start the symposium by presenting his vision for the Melbourne MD.

Kevin Eva, Professor and Director of Education Research and Scholarship in the Department of Medicine, and Associate Director and Senior Scientist in the Centre for Health Education Scholarship, University of British Columbia, Canada, will report on the evidence supporting changes in assessment practices. Professor Wendy Hu, Associate Dean (Learning & Innovation), School of Medicine, Western Sydney University, will discuss curriculum change in medical education. The symposium will conclude with a panel discussion.

We invite you to register for the symposium.
