Department Executive Committee

The Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) Executive Committee is established to discuss matters relating to the operations of the O&G Department across all sites (including the RWH, Mercy, Sunshine and Northern Hospital) and to report to the Head of School where relevant. These matters include:

• finances including budget and HR matters
• funding schemes and research progress,
• GR student updates
• strategic plans in teaching, including changes to the MD curriculum, and in research and engagement
• facilities and lab requirements
• forum for MMS Executive, MACH and other School/Faculty communications

Department Executive meetings are held bi-monthly (6 meetings per year)  and the membership will comprise of Level D and Level E part-time/full time academics of the department as well as the department manager, Head of School and teaching leads, whom are directly appointed to the Committee by the Chair. The Committee is chaired by the Head of Department and the EA to the HoD provides Secretariat support.
