Australian kids increasingly relying on mental health meds

Figures from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) show more than 220,000 young people, some toddler or pre-schoolers, took anti-depressants or other prescription drugs for mental health related issues in 2018-19.

The research also highlighted that one in seven school-aged children had been diagnosed with a mental illness.
