Thesis Title: Models and treatments of Dominant Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa

Thesis Summary: This thesis describes the creation and characterisation of several novel mouse models of the rare genetic skin disorder, Dominant Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (DDEB). To begin, the thesis details the generation and evaluation of five novel mouse lines, two of which directly model the most common human DDEB mutations found in collagen VII. Finally, the thesis describes the use of these mice as a model to better understand and treat EB-related pain.
