Thesis Title: Evaluation of multiple imputation approaches for handling incomplete three-level data

Thesis Summary: Three-level data arising from repeated measures on individuals clustered within higher-level units are common in public health studies, as are missing data.  While multiple imputation (MI) is popular for handling missing data, valid results depend on appropriate tailoring of the imputation model to the substantive analysis. It is unclear how best to achieve this with three-level data. This PhD evaluated a number of MI approaches for handling incomplete three-level data in different contexts using simulations and case studies.
