Huntington's Victoria Community Day

The AUPOA’s Huntington’s Disease (HD) research team attended the Huntington’s Victoria Community Day on Saturday 18th May 2019.

Huntington's Victoria is a state-wide organisation dedicated to supporting and assisting people and families affected by HD. At the community day, researchers, clinicians, and community members presented and discussed relevant topics of interest in the HD community, including: living well with HD, community panel, and updates on clinical trials and ongoing HD research.

Dr Anita Goh presented information about the Enroll-HD study, a worldwide observational study for Huntington’s disease families that is currently running at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The aim of Enroll-HD is to closely track how HD emerges and changes over time, and to improve the design of clinical trials and improve clinical care for HD patients.
