Award - Andrew Kaye Poster Prize

The winner of the Andrew Kaye Poster Prize awarded at the recently held Neurosurgical Science of Australasia Annual Scientific Meeting is Dr Ken Teng.

His project assesses the long-term health-related quality of life (HRQOL) and cognition in post-operative patients with a tissue diagnosis of acoustic neuroma, meningioma or low-grade glioma, and also  evaluated actionable factors contributing to poor HRQOL/cognition in these patients that can be targeted by intervention to improve their overall quality of life.
Our congratulations to Dr Teng, and also to Associate Professor Kate Drummond, who was his supervisor on this research project. Dr Teng intends to pursue a career in Neurosurgery, and is currently working as an intern at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
