Project Details

Our research into Mental Health focuses on both positive and negative aspects of mood, mental health treatments, and psychotropic drug use. The mental health trajectories project has examined changes in negative mood and depressive symptoms in the cohort over the course of 20 years.

The Healthy Ageing Program's research projects in Mental Health include:

  • Depression and mood in ageing women
  • Causes of depressive symptoms in early ageing
  • Vitamin D levels and mood
  • Alcohol use and effects on mood in elderly women
  • Positive mood in ageing women
  • Anxiety in elderly women
