The Condom Card Game (SHINE SA) resource is designed to help young people build confidence and comfort around using condoms. Using a condom in the correct way is essential for the efficacy of condoms in prevention of STIs, BBVs and unintended pregnancy.
The Card Game includes two sets of Condom cards with illustrations, designed so that participants/students place the cards in the correct order for safer condom use. The two sets support larger groups or two groups playing the game as a race. The sets include a consent card, providing an opportunity for the facilitator to discuss consent.
In addition to Condom cards, this resource also includes Condom Negotiation cards that are used to practice skills in talking about condom use with a partner.
The Condom Card Game includes:
- Condom cards – two sets of 16 (first side includes illustrations and text; second features artwork by Mali Isabel only)
- Condom Negotiation cards – 8
- Facilitator’s Guide
- Storage box
The Condom Card Game can be used with the included facilitator guide and with the following activities.

Sex Ed on the Cards: Changing the Conversation around Sex, Bodies, Consent and Relationships
Sophie Manning, Leah Jewett
Sex Ed on the Cards is a fun, factual and LGBTQ+ inclusive resource for delivering effective and engaging relationships and sex education (RSE). For too long this education has focused on dangers and risks, but young people have the right, need, desire and curiosity to see the bigger sex-ed picture.
Sex Ed on the Cards brings critical thinking to the table, encouraging…
- Live conversation: The game helps diffuse any awkwardness in face-to-face exchanges about sex and relationships issues. It also acknowledges the benefits of digital literacy, signposting reliable online resources for teens
- Sexual literacy: The game acknowledges digital natives’ possible awareness of and in-depth exposure to a range of material and helps them interpret what they may already have seen
- Social action: Made for a generation that cares deeply about equality, diversity and social justice, these cards introduce relevant modern concepts in a social-action context

Body Signals® (Innovative Resources) is a 40 card resource pack featuring a beautifully illustrated mob of meerkat characters, designed to help people of any age tune into their body signals and build a vocabulary to describe them. Each card features an individual body signal with a supporting illustration.
A variety of activities and conversations can be built around the cards, allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of their body’s natural responses.
Recognising and managing body signals helps build emotional and mental resilience – whether that’s for pre-schoolers transitioning to big school, young people navigating relationships, or adults dealing with life’s challenges.
Body Signals® is a fantastic addition to any toolbox to support the strengthening of body intelligence and empower people to describe their body’s feelings.
