Rural Services Development Project

About the Project

In mid-June 2023, CERSH commenced work on the 2-year Rural Services Development project which aims to significantly enhance sexual and reproductive health (SRH) service delivery in rural and regional communities.

The SRH service system in rural and regional Victoria is facing significant challenges that are impacting on the viability of the sector. The Rural Services Development project addresses these challenges by creating sustainable SRH service delivery prototype models, in addition to delivering a comprehensive training and education pathways map for healthcare professionals interested in pursuing a career in sexual and reproductive healthcare. The training pathways map will be complemented by a formal mentorship and supervision program established in collaboration with leading sexual and reproductive healthcare providers.
