North East Roadshow

Overview

In 2026, we're delivering workforce and community education sessions covering various aspects of sexual and reproductive health for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.

In partnership with Multicultural Health & Support Services (MHSS) and Women's Health Goulburn North East (WHGNE), our sessions aim to build the capacity of the local workforce to be able to engage with and have sensitive conversations with multicultural communities on various sexual and reproductive health topics.

The community health education session topics are identified and co-designed in collaboration with the local health workforce and partners to ensure local priorities are reflected.

How sessions are identified

The topics and locations for each roadshow session are shaped by what our local stakeholders and partners tell us, not by what we think communities need from the outside. For the North East Roadshow, workforce and community feedback from the Hume region pointed clearly to the need for cross-cultural SRH education and stronger connections between health services and local multicultural communities. Each session is co-designed with local partners and community connectors to ensure content and delivery is appropriate, accessible and genuinely useful.
